Ticket Regulations
ONLY regular one-way tickets and monthly paper tickets are issued on the Bus
- We pay cash ONLY
- On the bus we do not accept VISA (for the present phase)
No fare is payable for: (ONLY WITH A PERSONALIZED MOTION CARD)
- Children under 6 years old – (Δωρεάν)
- Soldiers and contract soldiers who carry a personalized smart card which they can obtain from ticket sales points if they present to the Issuer their military ID or the Certificate from the Institution in which they serve alternative service, which indicates the date of termination of their service. – ONLY WITH MOTION CARD
- Retirees who are beneficiaries of the Low Income Retirement Aid Plan (Click here to see the card) carrying a personalized smart card which they can obtain from ticket sales points if they present to the Issuer the Card of the Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance and provided that they do not receive under the Aid Scheme any aid for movements with road passenger transport on regular services. – ONLY WITH MOTION CARD
- The recipient and his/her family members (adults and children over 6 years old) who receive Public Assistance from the Welfare Office, who carry a personalized smart card which they can obtain from ticket sales points if they present to the Issuer a card or certificate from the Welfare Office and provided that they do not receive within the framework of the Public Assistance any aid for road passenger transport on regular services. – ONLY WITH MOTION CARD
- Disabled people: – ONLY WITH MOTION CARD
- in wheelchairs,
- Blind people (which may be accompanied by a guide dog),
- Escorts of blind people or disabled people in wheelchairs,
- European Disability Card beneficiaries and their attendants, where the European Disability Card is marked "A" (Assistant) which indicates the need for an assistant,

- Special teams agreed between the Contracting Authority and the Concessionaire carrying a personalized smart card which they can obtain from ticket sales outlets if they present to the Issuer a card or appropriate certificate. – ONLY WITH MOTION CARD
A 50% discount of the fare is paid by: (ONLY WITH A PERSONALIZED MOTION CARD)
- Students who hold:
- - Valid student card among the cards of the 7 listed universities (A detailed explanation is given in the annex entitled "Student ticket they are entitled to buy ..)
- European Student Card from the Youth Board of Cyprus.The discount is valid until the expiration date of the cards, which must be written on the cards. If the card does not indicate an exact expiration date, the discount is valid until the end of June of the card expiration year.

Also: University students regardless of nationality who carry a personalized smart card which they can obtain from points of sale if they present to the Issuer a student card from an approved university institution in Cyprus (Public or Private) or from approved tertiary education schools (Public) or a Student Card linked to the European Youth Card issued by the Youth Board of Cyprus in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
Students of Private Higher Education Schools who carry a personalized smart card which they can obtain from ticket sales points if they present the Student ID card linked to the European Youth Card issued by the Cyprus Youth Organization in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture , Sports and Youth,
International students who carry a personalized smart card which they can obtain from ticket offices by presenting to the Publisher a European Youth Card issued by a competent body of another European country, or their student card which is linked to the European Student Card for students and includes the corresponding logo,
– ONLY WITH MOTION CARD
- Children over 6 years old and under 18 years old, when they show a valid student card with a photo or political identity regardless of country of origin. (certificates are not accepted)
people aged 6 to 18 years:
– Up to the age of 12 (up to a height of 1.2 meters), there is no need to present any supporting documents to the bus driver.
– from 13 to 18 years old, using a personalized smart card which they can obtain from ticket sales points by presenting to the Issuer a political or student identity card – ONLY WITH MOTION CARD - Retired holders of the Cyprus Social Card (blue)
Social welfare beneficiaries who carry a personalized smart card which they can obtain from ticket sales points if they present their Social Card or Social Card Beneficiary Certificate of the Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance of Cyprus to the Issuer. – ONLY WITH MOTION CARD
In case of inspection, passengers who are not in possession of a valid ticket will be fined on the spot.

For student tickets – ONLY WITH MOTION CARD
When is a student card considered valid?
A student card that includes the following is considered valid:
Recent photo of the holder.
Name of the University or College that issued it.

With a new notification from the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, we inform you that the beneficiaries for reduced fares for all categories of routes (50%) will be the students who carry and present the identity of the following recognized Universities of Cyprus:
- University of Cyprus
- Technological University of Cyprus
- Open University of Cyprus
- European University of Cyprus
- Frederick University
- University of Neapolis
- University of Central Lancashire – Cyprus (U.C.L.AN)
- University of Nicosia
The remaining students should apply to the Cyprus Youth Organization (ONEK) which is the body responsible for issuing the European Student Card. The European Youth Card for students will be issued to students attending Higher Education Schools in Cyprus which are recognized by SEKAP It is noted that, all European Youth Cards should be accepted regardless of the country in which they are issued.
